Antwerpen es Amberes

"First of all, stick around. You probably thought of Antwerp as a short pitstop between Brussels and Amsterdam and planned to stay just long enough to do your laundry. You were wrong. In fact we're the hidden pearl of Europe: good parties that never end, lots of creative young peolple, and a big alternative fashion scene. Forget about that laundry. Refer to Antwerp as 't stad' (THE city, as if there's no other in Belgium). Why? We are proud of where we live. Look around you - wouldn't you be? We even have a saying that 'the rest of Belgium is parking space'. Other Belgians consider us snobs for that. Jealously, what can you do about it?"

No lo digo yo -de momento-, lo dice la guía Use It (que, después de la cerveza, es mi producto belga favorito). El caso es que a Amberes marcho esta noche y por cuatro días en busca y captura de un estudio majo para vivir durante mi año Erasmus. Justo después, me esperan unos días en Taiwán visitando fábricas de empresas.

Si sobrevivo a los vuelos en Ryanair, a la empalmada que me pegaré para ir de un país a otro y al 90% de humedad de la isla, dejaré de quejarme tanto como últimamente y contaré cosas bonitas y viajeras por estos lares.
